How built-in pricing works
Most contractors quote per linear metre by cabinet type. The price moves with:
- Carcass board — particle board is cheapest; moisture-resistant MDF suits kitchens and bathrooms; plywood lasts longest but costs more
- Finish — melamine, HPL laminate, spray paint or veneer
- Hardware — soft-close hinges and drawer runners and LED strips add cost
What to include in a quote request
- Floor plan and wall dimensions
- The cabinets you need (wardrobe, TV unit, kitchen counter, shoe cabinet)
- Preferred materials and finishes, or ask the contractor to propose
- Working hours your juristic office allows
Tips
- Check home tours of the same unit type in your condo to see what others spent
- Confirm the quote includes delivery, installation and finishing
