Where the prices come from

Interior budgets on building and unit pages are calculated from the budgets owners state in their home tours (the midpoint of each range) and shown only when there is enough data.

The price report and price guides use real quotes contractors sent through DooHong. They show the median and range together with the number of quotes used, and no figure at all when there are fewer than 5.

Prices contractors report for finished jobs: approved contractors enter what the customer actually paid for work in their own portfolio. We have not checked these against receipts, so they are always shown separately from quotes.

Public price lists: we read prices from businesses' own web pages and record only the number, the item and the source link — never photos or text. They are shown separately and never mixed into real quotes.

Building facts (developer, completion year, unit count, floor areas) use only facts from official or public sources, and the source is shown on the building page.

These pages show a last-updated date that changes only when the data actually changes.

How contractors are checked

Contractors submit their business name, company or tax registration number (if any), contact details and at least 3 photos of real work. Our team reviews them before approval.

The "Verified contractor" badge means a contractor passed this check; it is not a guarantee of workmanship. We track response rates and reviews from customers who hired them, and suspend contractors with repeated problems.

Customer reviews

Only customers who accepted a contractor's quote through DooHong can review that contractor. We never remove a review for a low rating — only for personal data, abuse or content unrelated to the job.

Reviewers also say whether the job finished within the duration the contractor quoted. A contractor's profile shows how many jobs finished on time, and the "On-time record" badge appears after at least 3 answers with 80% or more on time.

Guides and review

Price guides are written by the DooHong team and reviewed by an approved contractor in that trade. Each guide names its author and reviewer.

Home tours by users

Home tours belong to their authors. We do not edit them, but we hide tours that infringe copyright, reveal unit numbers or personal data, or are undisclosed advertising. Tours posted by contractors are labelled as contractor portfolio.
